Welcome to Blue Aurora

We are incredibly pleased, proud and maybe a little overexcited to announce that Blue Aurora has picked up an amazing three medals from one of the UK’s most prestigious wine judging awards, the IWSC!
This year for the first time, the IWSC (or, International Wine and Spirits Competition, to give the event its full title) launched the first tasting of 100% juice, not-from-concentrate ciders, perries and fruit wines. A brand-new category designed to shine a well-deserved light on an amazing drinks category that is too often overlooked. The judges included leading food and wine writer Fiona Beckett and Laure Patry, Head Sommelier of the Social Company (celeb chef Jason Atherton’s restaurant group).
We are so happy to let you know that three of our entries picked up a medal in the judging, including our fab Long Brothers Co-Ferment Cider. The full list of awards and judge’s tasting notes are as follows …
Blue Aurora Midnight – Bronze Medal
‘Rich and ripe raspberry, sweet fruit layered with spice and a mild acidity.’
Blue Aurora Ice Wine – Silver Medal
‘A dark-fruited joy on the nose with lovely flavours of crisp blueberries and dried herbs on the palate. Satisfying and pleasingly balanced.'
Long Brothers Co-Ferment Cider – Silver Medal
‘Bright, clean and aromatic, full of blueberries and crunchy red fruit. The palate is surprisingly dry and textured, rather like a light red wine. Very attractive.’
