Reuniting with our friends and family is very much on all our minds at the moment, and we can't wait to mingle indoors with our loved ones when restrictions ease (fingers crossed) on the 17th May. We are very much looking forward to hosting again, and we can't wait to throw a dinner party with some delicious Blue Aurora wine pairings.
We love entertaining friends and family at any time of year, but one of the best things about spring is the availability of so much incredible seasonal produce, from fresh veg to spring lamb. We’ve put together some lovely Blue Aurora seasonal food and wine pairings to give you some inspiration for your next event. We challenge you to read this without your mouth watering!
Starter – Blue Aurora Dusk & Spring Asparagus
Is there anything better than crisp, flavourful spring asparagus? We don’t think so … Blue Aurora Dusk is the lightest of our three wines and a perfect pairing for the delicate flavour of new asparagus. Wrap those lovely green spears in prosciutto and serve with a zingy lemon and herb aioli for a real taste sensation.
Main Course – Blue Aurora Midnight & Lamb Cutlets
This main course really packs a punch, with the deep, velvety flavours of Blue Aurora Midnight offering beautiful balance for rich, flavourful spring lamb. When lamb is in season, it really does speak for itself – so keep this dish simple with Jersey Royal potatoes (generously buttered, of course!) and a pea and mint purée.
Dessert – Blue Aurora Ice Wine & Double Chocolate Brownies
Double. Chocolate. Brownies. Need we say more!? Our ever-popular Blue Aurora Ice Wine adores sweet treats of all kinds, so this really is a match made in heaven. Serve your brownies warm from the oven and oozing chocolate, with a generous dollop of clotted cream, a garnish of fresh strawberries, and a big glug of Ice Wine to wash it all down.
